The Arkansas All Star football was Friday, and Crossett’s Marcus Bornslater Jr. was the starting left cornerback for the East All-Stars in the game in Conway.
The game ended with the East team leading 55 to 14.
Bornslater had two unassisted tackles and maintained close coverage on the West receivers throughout the game.
Warren’s Hayden Lassiter was nine of 15, passing 117 yards and three touchdowns and rushing four times for 48 Yards. Dennis Daniels had five carries for 30 yards and a touchdown.
Game play started with a bang, with Forest City’s Kendriel taking the opening kick-off to the house with an 87-yard return to give the East the early lead. The extra point by Marion’s Bradford Doherty was good and gave the East a 7-0 lead. The East was also up to the challenge on defense, holding the West to a three plays and out. In the East second possession, under the guidance of Warren’s quarterback Hayden Lassiter, East moved straight down the field and scored on a pass from Lassiter to Monta Thomas of Hampton.
