The Lady Eagles took on the Lady Bearcats of Mena for the regional third seed in the state playoffs — and are headed to state after a win.

Mena started the game off with grounding out to first base. The Lady Bearcat second baseman reached on a walk before the pitcher flied out to center field for the second out. The shortstop struck out for the third out.

The Lady Eagles led off with Lexie Cameron getting a base hit. Rickael Franklin reached base after being hit by a pitch, and Kaylie Pullin would reached on a walk. Katie Thurman struck out for the second out and Ashleigh Schlesier had a fly out to the pitcher for the third out.

The second inning started with a base hit by the Mena left fielder. The Mena first baseman made a sacrifice to move the runner to second base for the first out, while the Lady Bearcat centerfielder was able to reach on a walk, giving Mena runners on first and second. The Bearcat catcher had a fly out to short left field, holding the runners on base, before the right fielder grounded out
to Anna Beth Gulldege at second base for the third out.
