Jim Kelley, 69, of Byhalia, Miss., died Monday, April 10, 2017 at the Methodist Hospice Residence in Memphis.
Mr. Kelley was a native of Hamburg and a resident for many years and resident of Byhalia for the past three years. He was a veteran of the United States Army. He was the owner of Direct Imaging, LLC. He was a racing enthusiast and drove and owned his own race car for the past 38 years. He attended Shady Grove Church in Williston, Tenn.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Kristie Kelley Griffin; his parents, Elmer and Johnnie Mann Kelley; two sisters, Robin Kelley and Lucille Hollis and four brothers, Raymond, Lonnie, Jimmy and Ralph Kelley.
Survivors include his wife of 37 years, Vickie Frisby Kelley of Byhalia; a son, James Brian Kelley and spouse, Kay, of Little Rock; two brothers, Johnny Castleberry of Monroe, La. and Timmy Kelley of Hamburg; two sisters, Betty White of Monticello and Carolyn Webb of Monroe; and three grandchildren.
Funeral services were 2 p.m. April 13 in the Jones-Hartshorn Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Artie Fulcher officiating.
Burial followed in the Green Grove Cemetery outside of Strong.
Pallbearers were Alex Hubbard, Sonny Perry, Gilberto Mondragon, Terry “Jabbo” Forsythe, Kenneth Harvey and Travis Mann.
Honorary pallbearers were Dan Lippy and Dwight Armstrong. Memorials may be made to the Methodist Hospice Residence, 6416 Quince Road, Memphis, TN 38119.
Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Jones-Hartshorn Funeral Home in Hamburg.
