The two ex-Crossett police officers who were dismissed from work after allegedly breaking into a school and drinking chocolate milk will face criminal charges.
Crossett Police Chief J.W. Cruce said Monday he has not received the official paperwork from the prosecuting attorney’s office but has received a phone call telling him that former officers Brandon Watt and Michael Rowe will be charged with breaking or entering in the incident.
Whether the two will be formally arrested or just issued a summons to appear in court will depend on the orders that come with the bill of information that is filed in 10th District Court, Cruce said.
Breaking or entering is a Class D felony, which is punishable by up to six years in prison and a fine of as much as $10,000.
