El Dorado fishermen capture Buddy Bass title

A team from El Dorado, Ricky Vines and Robert Duggar, took home top honors at the 29th Annual Crossett Area Chamber of Commerce Buddy Bass Fishing Tournament held June 7 on the Ouachita River.

The duo caught five fish and the winning weight was 15.13 pounds.

For placing first, Vines and Duggar received a check of $4,500.

Taking second place honors was the team of Patrick Chapman of Parkdale and Daniel Chapman of Crossett with five fish at 15.09 pounds. The Chapmans received a check of $1,800.

In third place was the team of Keith Pace and Marcus Arrington of Monticello. They also caught five fish for a total of 14.69 pounds to earn $900 in prize money.
